MANGALORE: Syndicate Bank has formed an ad-hoc committee to undertake procedures and performance audit on public services rendered by it.

A bank release said here on Monday that the committee was formed based on the direction of Reserve Bank of India vide Mid-term Review on Monetary and Credit Policy for 2003-04.

The committee consisting of general managers would be looking into the aspect of simplifying procedures, practices and regulations prescribed by RBI that impinge on customer service of banks, and make suitable recommendations for elimination and rationalisation.
