Society & Development AP corporates pledge help to RDF Our Bureau
At a fund-raising dinner hosted by the foundation at Shilparamam, Dr K Anji Reddy, Chairman of Dr Reddy's, said the foundation could always approach his company whenever it fell short of money to support their plans. "Securing donations is not as much a difficult task as getting sincere and dedicated people to work for voluntary and social organisations," a statement quoting him said. Mr Malcom Wagget, Managing Director of HSBC (India), said that his company believed in corporate responsibility. Assuring all help, he said his bank provided scholarships to 3,500 students. The RDF could raise Rs 24 lakh on Sunday. "We are hoping to get Rs 20-30 lakh more in the next 20 days," a foundation executive said. The foundation planned to utilise the proceeds to develop infrastructure for two rural schools.
