Vanishing tribe

Members of the `Buda Jangalu' community with their folk music instruments and traditional attire at Nizam College ground in Hyderabad on Tuesday. The community was once known for its story-telling profession, which is a dying art form today. Members of the community from across the State gathered for a `Buda Jangalu Danda Mahasabha' here, demanding a dignified existence. For that, they have urged the political parties to give them some seats in the forthcoming assembly elections in the State.
