Reliance IndiaMobile launches watchphone

RELIANCE IndiaMobile has launched the all-in-one Telson TWC 1150, which combines a wristwatch and a mobile phone, with plug-in camera.

According to an official release, the mobile phone, brought out by Telson Electronics, is the world's lightest CDMA2000 1x phone.

The watchphone is targeted at the younger generation.

This offering from Reliance is priced at Rs 23,900.

It weighs 98 gm and has several features including loudspeaker, voice recording and voice recognition capability, infrared earpiece and polyphonic ring tones.

It also has a speakerphone facility along with infrared "finger-ring" type earpiece.

The high-performance battery enables talk time of up to 100 minutes and standby time up to 150 hours, the statement said.

Included in the handset kit is a plug-in high-resolution 3,30,000 pixel digital camera, which can save up to 80 pictures.

The camera can also be attached to a phone book.

The phone book can store up to 200 entries with four numbers, email-ID and URL, and photo caller-ID, which displays a photo of the caller.

It is initially being launched at Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

The product will be available at the Reliance WebWorlds and retail outlets at these cities.
