HYDERABAD: In the last four years, Eastern Power Distribution Company Ltd (EPDCL) has spent nearly Rs 400 crore in building the distribution network. Stating this, the Chairman and Managing Director, Mr Y.G.K. Murthy, said there was a need to take up patrolling of lines to avoid interruptions and accidents.

The EPDCL Chairman released an Engineers Handbook and stressed the need for implementing various efficiency improvement measures. He was speaking at a seminar on "Internal Efficiency Improvement", organised by the Eastern Power Distribution Company Engineers Federation in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday.
