New Director for Toonz

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The city-based Toonz Animation India has announced the appointment of Mr Hari Varma as the company's Director of Computer Graphics and Visual Effects.

He is expected to play a major role in the company's foray into 3D animation and visual effects for the entertainment industry, says a company communiqué.

Mr Varma has had stints at the Chennai-based Pentamedia Graphics, where he was head of multimedia projects, and at the Bangalore-based Digital Art Media.

He was also the VFX animation director for the Tamil film Boys and for the Hindi film Koi Mil Gaya. The other projects Mr Varma has worked on include 3D animation productions such as Spooky Sisters, Nick Races and Believe - The Quest for Innocence, says the release.
