New Delhi , March 4

IT'S aiming to be a one-stop shop offering solutions to water-related issues. Delhi-based Fontus Water Ltd is planning to open a series of retail stores called water stores in about 50 cities across the country.

These water stores will display a whole range of water purification products, pressure-boosting systems, pumps, test kits, water heaters, dispensers and other water-related products.

They will also act as information centres where anyone facing problems related to water or going in for any new construction can get solutions from the experts present there. Information on industrial water and wastewater management would also be available.

According to Mr Sunil Ghorawat, Chief Executive Officer, Fontus Water, "The idea of creating water stores is to not only educate consumers but also provide solutions to water related problems."

The company has already set up eight water stores and is planning to make its presence felt in the northern and southern parts of the country. It is using the franchise route to expand its operations.

Fontus Water specialises in solutions for drinking water, process water and wastewater applications. While the commercial segment constitutes a large part of the business, the home and office segment is a growing segment. The company has recorded a turnover of Rs 10 crore and is expecting to increase it to Rs 25 crore this year.
