Mumbai , March 4

THE Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) is considering the possibility of extending relaxations offered to public sector company IPOs to the private sector on a case-to-case basis, Mr G.N. Bajpai, Chairman, SEBI, said today.

Mr Bajpai told journalists that SEBI was carrying out investigations on the public sector undertaking IPO share price decline. "Action, if necessary, would be taken after investigations are complete,'' he told journalists on the sidelines of the Fifth SS Nadkarni Memorial Lecture organised by IRIS and Edelweiss Capital.
