Hyderabad , March 9 KEEPING in mind the increased pull in favour of one-level shopping malls globally, One Retail and Holdings Private Ltd is planning to open a chain of `Onestores' in major cities across the country. Addressing newsmen here on Tuesday to announce the launch of the first `Onestores' at Begumpet, Mr C.S. Chandrasekaran, Managing Director, said the Rs 6.5-crore project had been based on studies that found that customers favoured one-level shopping. "Studies found that only 60 per cent of the customers go to the second level for shopping. And only 60 per cent of these carry on to the third level. The trend worldover is in favour of one-level and destination shopping," he said. The 20,000-sq-ft "world-class outlet" specialises in retailing of fashion garments, footwear, house wares, health and beauty products, he said. After consolidating the Hyderabad store, the company would take the concept to Chennai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Pune. Besides some of the top global brands, the company would showcase its own range of apparel and footwear, Mr Ravi, Director (Procurement and Marketing), said. Complementing the outlet would be the Café One, an exclusive coffee shop, a kids' zone and a banquet hall for hosting birthday parties for children.
