Rubber improves on moderate buys

KOTTAYAM: THE spot rubber market improved on Wednesday. The prices moved up following the purchases from the covering groups. RSS 4closed at Rs 56 against Rs 55.75 a kg. The TOCOM April features for RSS 3 was steady at 153.3 yen as on Tuesday. The same grade moved up to close at Rs 60.61 a kg at Bangkok.

The futures market turned weak on Wednesday. The near month April delivery was quoted at Rs 57.29 (57.61), May delivery at Rs 59.23 (59.71) and June delivery at Rs 61.49 (61.81) per kg for RSS 4. March delivery stood better at Rs 57.50 a kg on short covering.
