Hyderabad , March 10

EUCLID Inc, an IT management software solutions provider, has commissioned a new development centre in Hyderabad. It plans to expand partnerships with systems integrators in the region and double the headcount in Research and Development (R&D) work, here.

The Chief Executive Officer of Euclid Inc, Ms Patty Azzarello, told newspersons that "the IT-business communication theme is at the core of our value proposition and the new product centre will be used to further develop products around Business Service Management and IT dashboards, as well as expand our sales channel and go-to-market initiatives."

"Euclid raised $4.5 million (around Rs 20.35 crore) in January this year, thereby increasing the total funds raised to $38 million (around Rs 172 crore) that included investments from ventures like Bay Partners, Blue Stream and PaceSetter. Of this, the company has invested about $1 million (around Rs 4. 52 crore) in the new centre.

"The investment in Indian development centre will be used to expand operations and increase the superior talent pool that is working on enterprise class product. India plays a pivotal role in the growth of Euclid and will be the hub of our product development work," she said.

Inaugurating the Euclid's facility today, the Chairman of Satyam Computer Services Ltd, Mr B. Ramalinga Raju, said the Indian IT industry, which had already demonstrated its expertise in the software services sector, now needed to focus on software product development as well.

Though there are some concerns about outsourcing, business advantages will far outweigh other concerns, he said.

The Co-Founder and Vice-President of Euclid, Mr Sateesh Andra, said "Global 2000 CIOs are letting us know that IT governance and proactively aligning IT with business goals are top concerns for them today. Euclid's BizSmart solution is unique in the industry and significantly differentiated amongst peers due to its business-centric approach and paradigm to IT management.

"Even non-IT people are able to understand and use these applications that help them improve internal efficiencies and align with business goals."
