Telecommunications Marketing - Strategy Cellnext launches personal ring tones Our Bureau
New Delhi , March 12 CELLNEXT Solutions Ltd, a wireless IT solutions company promoted by Escorts Group, has launched `customised ring tone' application service by using human voice as an input wave. The subscriber only needs to dial a short code and sing/talk/hum/buzz into a cell-phone, the application then converts the voice to cell-phone music ring tone, providing subscriber with personal music ring tones. The entire process happens on a real time basis and the subscriber receives the tone on the handset as an SMS. At present, this application is available for Escotel subscribers and Cellnext is in the process of launching it in other circles. This application is based on the Ring Tone Composer technology. Cellnext has launched this technology in technical collaboration with Timbre. The technology is in use in countries such as Singapore, Thailand, Israel, Romania, Greece and the UK.
