Events Meet on global marketing in Kochi Our Bureau
Kochi , March 15 DESPITE several negative consequences, globalisation has provided opportunities for small-scale entrepreneurs and industries for marketing their products, sourcing technology and entering into sub-contracting relationships. However, most small-scale industries in Kerala are still not aware of such opportunities and more so on the avenues of sourcing of such opportunities, said the Kochi-based Institute of Small Enterprises and Development. In this context, the institute plans to organise a conference on `International Marketing and Sub-contracting Opportunities for Small Industry' on March 26. The conference to be jointly organised by ISED (Industrial Subcontract Exchange) and the London-based International SME promotion organisation, BESO, will try to fami- liarise the small industry with international marketing and sub-contracting opportunities. BESO, which operates in several countries, has a significant resource base of personnel and expertise and works in tandem with the UN system and other international donors.
