Mixed trend in rubber continues

Our Correspondent

Kottayam , March 15

A MIXED trend continued to prevail in the physical rubber market on Monday. As buyers seemed to be waiting for a declining phase, growers turned to be more firm in holding their stock.

According to sources, a revival in prices is anticipated as severe drought in most of the plantation areas. The only gainer of the day was latex, which improved to Rs 42 a kg.

The rubber futures appeared weak. The near month April delivery was quoted at Rs 56.05 (56.61), May delivery at Rs 58.55 (58.88) and June delivery at Rs 60.55 (60.94).
