CommScope arm begins operations

Bangalore , March 15

THE US-based CommScope announced the start of the Indian operations of Systimax Solutions, its wholly owned subsidiary, in India.

The operations would cover the sales and marketing needs of the $30 million Indian market, said Mr Randall Crenshaw, Executive Vice-President and GM-Enterprise Solutions, CommScope.

"Having completed the acquisition of Avaya's Connectivity Solutions business last month, the Indian operations will enable us to position ourselves as an end-to-end connectivity solutions provider in India, Mr Crenshaw said.

CommScope is a manufacturer and supplier of broadband coaxial cable and supplier of fibre-optic and twisted pair cables.

Systimax Solutions will provide integrated end-to-end connectivity solutions for voice, data, video and building management applications in enterprise networks, said Mr Ispran Kandasamy, Regional Vice-President CommScope Systimax Solutions, Asia-Pacific.
