Emami ropes in Big B as brand ambassador

Our Bureau

Mumbai , March 15

EMAMI, the personal and healthcare major, has roped in megastar Amitabh Bachchan in its club of brand ambassadors in the biggest-ever deal made between Bachchan and any corporate. The company already has Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly and Bollywood stars Sunny Deol, Govinda and Madhuri Dixit as brand ambassadors.

Speaking about the endorsement deal with Emami, Bachchan said, "As a completely home-grown company, Emami's track record is fantastic. Its products are winning accolades not only here but internationally as well. So there will be great synergy to this association between Emami and myself, which I am sure will be a long and fruitful one.''

Speaking on the occasion, Mr R.S. Agarwal, Joint Chairman of the Rs 600-crore Emami group of companies, said, "Amitabh Bachchan, as we all know, is an institution by himself. We are indeed honoured to be associated with this extraordinarily remarkable personality.''
