Rubber declines on negative global trend

RUBBER rates declined on Tuesday, with traders selling rubber following negative reports from world markets. All the grades, except latex and ungraded rubber, lost in the absence of quantum buyers even though supply was low. Transactions were meagre

In the domestic market, sheet rubber RSS 4 closed at Rs 55.50 a kg against Rs 55.75 .The April features at TOCOM for RSS 3 fell sharply to 151.4 yen from 154.9 yen on Monday.

The rubber futures also remained weak throughout the session. The near-month April delivery was quoted at Rs 55.95 (Rs 56.25), the May delivery at Rs 58 (Rs 58.43) and the June delivery at Rs 59.95 (Rs 60.47) per kg for RSS 4.
