Baxter India cuts dialysis fluid prices

BAXTER India (Pvt) Ltd has announced a 12 per cent cut in the price of its `Peritoneal Dialysis' fluids used in the treatment of kidney related ailments.

The prices of the 2-litre twin bag system have been dropped to Rs 145 per bag from Rs 165 per bag. In a company statement, Mr Sanjiv Verma, Country Manager, Baxter India, said: "This move reaffirms our commitment to make the therapy increasingly affordable. The price drop is expected to bring down monthly therapy costs by over Rs 1,900. "The last price drop in July 2001 saw therapy costs reduce by over Rs 5,000 per month for the world standard twin bag system." Baxter India is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Baxter Healthcare International Inc, US.
