HYDERABAD: Two new publications of the National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD) were released here on Tuesday at the meeting of the State Secretaries of Rural Development.

The book, titled Management of Natural Resources for Sustainable Livelihoods and Poverty Alleviation Volume I & II, contains 46 papers contributed by eminent scientists, administrators, development managers and scholars at a national seminar.

The second book, titled Assessment of Targeted Public Distribution System in Rural India, by Dr B. Sambi Reddy and Dr K. Hanumantha Rao is a study conducted in 16 states across the country, according to an NIRD press release.
