Amit Sharma to head Motorola India

MOTOROLA has named its Vice-President, Mr Amit Sharma, as the Country President of Motorola India Pvt Ltd. He is already serving as Cluster President, with Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam under his jurisdiction.

According to a company statement, this appointment will be in addition to his existing responsibilities.

Mr Sharma has been a member of Motorola's Asia-Pacific Management Board since 1996 and has played a key role in developing the company's Asia-Pacific strategy.

He served as Country President of Motorola India from 1992 to 1999.
