Entertainment & Leisure Toonz trailer wins award Our Bureau
Thiruvananthapuram , March 17 THE trailer on The Adventures of Hanuman from Toonz Animation India has bagged the Special Jury Award at this year's FICCI BAF (Best Animated FRAMES) 2004 festival held in Mumbai. The BAF 2004 is a unique initiative of FICCI to recognise and promote excellence in the animation industry. Mr P. Jayakumar, Chief Executive Officer, Toonz Animation, received the award from Mr Andy Bird, President, Walt Disney International, at a ceremony in Hotel Renaissance Convention Centre, Mumbai, a spokesman of Toonz Animation, said here. The trailer provided a peek into what Toonz has to offer in the years to come in the area of 2D and 3D animation close on the heels of its successful animation TV serial The Adventures of Tenali Raman. "The credit for winning this honour goes to the entire creative team at our studio. The contribution of Mr Atul Rao, our Creative Director, deserves special kudos," the spokesman quoted Mr Jayakumar as saying. The Adventures of Hanuman recounts the daring feats of Hanuman. While paying homage to the traditional legends, the series showcases Hanuman as an ageless hero.
