BANGALORE: Mr K.K. Swamy, Deputy Managing Director of Toyota Kirloskar Motor Ltd, has been elected Chairman of the Karnataka chapter of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

Mr Daljit Mirchandani, Chairman and President of Ingersoll Rand (India) Ltd, has been elected Vice-Chairman.

Mr Swamy, who started as Deputy Advisor (Finance) with TECSOK, Karnataka Government, had served in HMT, Hyderabad Allwyn, before joining the Mysore Kirloskar group. He subsequently became the Deputy MD of TKML.

Mr Mirchandani, himself had a stint in Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd as its Executive Director before assuming the present responsibility in Ingersoll Rand.
