Lecture on micro credit

MANGALORE: The Chairperson of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, Ms Ranjana Kumar, will deliver a special lecture on "Micro credit: Role and relevance in the Indian context" at Justice K.S. Hegde Institute of Management at Nitte in Udupi district on March 18. A press release by the institute said here on Wednesday that the lecture would begin at 4 p.m.

Another press release by the Executive Director of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project, Dr L.H. Manjunath, said here that Ms Kumar would participate in a workshop on "Self-help groups: A step towards self-reliance" at Dharmasthala in Dakshina Kannada district on March 19.

The Dharmadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala, Dr D. Veerendra Heggade, Mr Vinay Hegde of Nitte group of institutions, and Dr N.K. Thingalaya, former Chairman and Managing Director of Syndicate Bank, will attend the workshop, the release added.
