Hyderabad , March 17

HUTCH, a cellular service provider in Andhra Pradesh, today announced two new number series — 98853 and 98854 — with a unique feature whereby the subscribers can choose their mobile number. This choice will enable customers to personalise their Hutch mobile number.

With this service, new customers could choose any number as their Hutch number including their birthdays, anniversaries or vehicle numbers. For instance, if one's birthday is on 06.9.69, he can personalise his Hutch mobile number as 98853 06969. To avail the facility new prepaid customers can dial 222- Hutch IVR (Interactive Voice Response) and choose a number of their choice while post-paid customers can get the number of their choice on purchase of their new connection.

The Chief Operating Officer, Hutchison Essar South Ltd, Mr Kumar Ramanathan, in a statement said: " Hutch constantly reinforces its service philosophy. Customers across categories prefer personalised products. This unique facility from Hutch to choose one's mobile number is one step in that direction of personalising the cellular experience."
