Disinvestment success

The Disinvestment Minister, Mr Arun Shourie, and the other Ministry officials' successful act of offloading the shares of ONGC along with other public sector units to totally garner more than Rs 14,000 crore is a remarkable performance, which is far ahead of the target set for the year.

What a way to perform in the closing session of the current fiscal.

Whether or not the cross-holding of stakes by select PSUs in one another's companies, facilitated by the NDA Government in 1998 helped in real terms to bring up the net worth of the participating PSUs share prices, the current offloading act is a good show by NDA Government.
