SHCIL Managing Director quits

Mumbai , March 18

THE Managing Director of Stock Holding Corporation of India, Mr K.C. Bandopadhyay, resigned on Thursday evening.

According to top sources in SHCIL, Mr Bandopadhyay quit citing personal reasons but would continue to hold charge until April 30. His term would have otherwise expired in September. Mr Bandopadhyay himself was unavailable for comment.

He had taken charge of SHCIL, a depository, custodial services and securities lending company floated by State-owned financial institutions and insurers, in September 2002 at the fag end of his term as Chief General Manager at the Reserve Bank of India.
