Hyderabad , March 19

OBT Global, formerly Oak Brook Technologies Ltd, has announced plans to expand its operations with the induction of more consultants and the company expects to double its revenues this year backed by a recently created Pharma Centre of Excellence.

The President of OBT Global, Mr Ramesh Kodali, said that the company recorded revenues of Rs 6 crore this year and expects to double its numbers backed by good performance in pharmaceuticals, engineering and textiles. This is in addition to revenues of about $2 million from maintenance work in overseas operations.

Mr Kodali said OBT Global has developed solutions and implementation practice for small and medium businesses (SMBs). With customisation, it is possible to provide one point solution for SMBs covering hardware, software and implementation. In league with SAP, OBT has developed OBTPharma, a cost-effective SAP-solution built on mySAP All-in-One to suit the requirements of SMBs. This solution enables pharma companies to match up to stringent FDA regulations in the US and other markets.

The Pharma Centre of Excellence has thus far deployed solutions for six companies. It is now in the process of replicating similar centres for engineering and textiles industry. With some of these solutions having common interface, the effort is towards covering other verticals including footwear and garments, Mr. Kodali said.

The company conducted three road shows, each focussing on a specific vertical — the Mumbai meet addressed issues relating to textiles, the Bangalore one for engineering and the Hyderabad event addressed solutions for the pharma sector, he explained.
