Idea Cellular pre-paid recharge via SMS

Mumbai , March 19

IDEA Cellular is to introduce a mobile recharge service that can be activated through SMS as well as through certain specified ATM networks.

Prepaid customers can recharge their accounts from wherever they are, for flexible denominations between Rs 324 and Rs 10,800, said a news release from the company.

To make use of this facility, the subscriber can send an SMS or enter their mobile phone number at an ATM at banks that offer this service. Euronet is the technology partner for this service and will be an interface to all the banks offering this service.

The banks through which one can avail this facility are IDBI Bank, HDFC Bank, Citibank, UTI Bank and State Bank of India and their associates. This service will also shortly be available at ICICI Bank, Corporation Bank, Development Credit Bank and Bank of Punjab.
