Premnarayen is new NRSC chief

MR Krishan Premnarayen, Partner, Prem Associates Advertising & Marketing, is the new Chairman of the National Readership Studies Council (NRSC), an autonomous wing of the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC).

Mr Premnarayen, who has been a member of the NRS Governing Council since the inception of NRSC in 1994 and is also the Chairman of ABC, will hold the post till September 30, this year.

According to a NRSC release, Mr Premnarayen has appointed a core committee representing the Indian Newspapers Society (INS), Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) and the ABC.

The representatives from INS are: Mr N. Murali, Joint Managing Director, Kasturi & Sons Ltd; Mr Pradeep Guha, President, Bennett, Coleman & Co; and Mr Abhay Chhajlani, Chairman & Managing Director, Naidunia News & Network Pvt Ltd.

The ABC representatives, apart from Mr Premnarayen, are: Mr K.N. Shanth Kumar, Editor & Director, Printers (Mysore) Pvt Ltd; and Mr Kurush N. Grant, Chief Executive-Tobacco Division, ITC Ltd.

The AAAI representatives are: Mr Sam Balsara, Chairman & Managing Director, Madison Communications Pvt Ltd; Mr Goutam Rakshit, Managing Director, Advertising Avenues; and Mr Anil Kapoor, Managing Director & CEO, FCB Ulka Advertising Ltd.
