IFA Bangalore sub-chapter opened

Our Bureau

BANGALORE: The Director-General of International Taxation, Mr Vijay Mathur, on Friday inaugurated the Bangalore sub-chapter of the International Fiscal Association (IFA).

The IFA is a non-governmental, international organisation dealing with tax matters. Headquartered in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, the IFA comprises company tax personnel, their advisers, university professors and government officials.

IFA now has approximately 10,000 members worldwide, in over 90 countries, of which 45 have national branches. IFA acts like a think tank which on a periodic basis studies and does research on international and comparative law with regard to public finance, specifically international and comparative fiscal law and the financial and economic aspects of taxation.

The executive committee of the Bangalore sub-chapter was also announced during the conference.
