BSNL plans new services

Kottayam , March 29

BSNL will introduce new services in the near future including Managed Leased Line Network, IVSR-based trunk booking and Direct Internet Access Service, Mr K.S. Sreenivasan, General Manager, BSNL, Kottayam, has said.

He was speaking at the release of the telephone directory for Kottayam.

Major portion of the waiting list will be cleared by WLL service shortly.

MSC-based WLL (18,000 lines) is expected to begin by December providing more mobility to mobile handsets. Kottayam, Changanacherry, Kumarakom, Kudamaloor, Ettumanoor, Thalayolaparamp, Vakathanam, Ayarkunnam, Kangazha, Kanjirappally and Karukachal will be covered under this programme.

Former Supreme Court judge, Mr K.T. Thomas, spoke on the occasion. Mr N.C.V.L. Narasimham, GM (Development), welcomed the gathering and Mr C. Manoj, Deputy GM (Urban), proposed a vote of thanks.
