AirTel launches pre-paid start up pack for Rs 99 in Chennai

AIRTEL has launched a pre-paid start up pack priced at Rs 99. The new pack comes with zero daily rentals and there is no monthly fee. In addition, the Rs 99 pack allows customers make outgoing calls to mobile phones within Chennai for 99-paise per minute and send local SMS (short-messaging services) at 50 paise. Customers buying the new pack also get a recharge coupon worth Rs 54 free.

The pack, valid for 14 days, has other benefits such as making calls to select five friends and family numbers at special rates. On calling a select mobile phone number, the calls will be charged at 50 paise per minute. For calls made to a select landline phone, the call will be at 99 paise per minute, says a company release.
