TVS-E has 45 pc of printer pie

TVS Electronics Ltd has achieved a 45 per cent market share in the dot matrix printer (DMP) segment for the quarter ended December 2003.

Based on a report by Gartner, a global research firm, TVS-E had a 10 per cent absolute increase in market share over the corresponding period in the previous year.

In a release, the company's General Manager, Marketing, Mr S. Narendran, said in 2003 the domestic market size for DMP was 3,75,000 units, and it is growing at an average of 14 per cent year-on-yearThe company got orders from Life Insurance Corporation, Tamil Nadu Police, eSeva, Reliance and ITC Ltd, he said.
