Farmers' convention at Muvattupuzha

Our Bureau

KOCHI: A convention of young farmers who are members of the Agriculture Department's project to generate employment for one lakh people will be held at the Muvattupuzha Town Hall on Wednesday.

According to the organisers, the State Agriculture Department was neglecting young farmers who had joined the project, which was started in 1994-95 through the Krishi Bhavans. The Government had amassed about Rs 51 crore from the members but nothing had come out of the project even after 10 years.
