Mumbai , March 30

SINGAPORE Airlines (SIA) has added two day flights on the Mumbai-Singapore-Mumbai sector with effect from March 28.

This is in addition to the thrice-weekly day flights that were launched in October last year. These flights will be operated on five days of the week - Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They will depart from Mumbai at 11.30 a.m. and arrive in Singapore at 7.15 p.m. in good time to connect with the flights to Australia, New Zealand and a number of other destinations in Asia.

According to an official statement, Singapore Airlines now operates 12 flights a week on the Mumbai-Singapore-Mumbai sector. The day flights are operated by Boeing B777-200 aircraft and the night flights by slightly larger Boeing B777-300 aircraft.

The airline has announced a special offer for passengers travelling by the day flights in April and May. Passengers flying to selected destinations in Asia, Australia and New Zealand will be able to enjoy a two-night hotel stay in Singapore on their return journey for only $1!

Singapore Airlines currently operates 31 passenger flights each week from five cities in the country: Mumbai (12 flights); Delhi and Chennai (both daily); Bangalore (three flights); and Kolkata (two flights).
