Promotions & Offers Samsung bid to push microwaves Our Bureau
New Delhi , March 30 IN a bid to push the sales of its microwave ovens, Samsung India is launching a microwave cooking festival, `Samsung Spice of Life The Grand Recipe Hunt' starting on Wednesday, in Delhi and Chandigarh. The Spice of Life contest encourages microwave oven users to share their successful recipes, with the prize-winning entries being featured in the `Samsung Book of Microwave Cooking' and the winners receiving several prizes. The contest will be rolled out in Kolkata, Bangalore and Mumbai from April 5-12. States Mr R. Zutshi, Director - Sales, Samsung India, "We have been consistently promoting our microwave oven products through cooking classes, product demonstrations and by encouraging customers to try Indian cooking in the Samsung microwave by making available the Samsung cookbook with every oven purchased. This is the first time we are actually asking the consumers to share their cooking experience with us. Thus, I feel the format of `Spice of Life' is very interactive."
