Madurai , March 30

THE Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry has urged the Indian Airlines to reduce the fares in the Madurai-Chennai sector.

In a statement here, the chamber, while welcoming the significant reductions in the fares for certain flights operated from Chennai, Coimbatore, Tiruchi and Thiruvananthapuram effective April 1, has said that an appropriate reduction in fare between Chennai-Madurai, would help to accelerate trade and industry growth in southern Tamil Nadu.
