Pune , April 1 MOBILE subscribers keen on knowing the future can look forward to some intimate long-distance conversations with a team of astrologers led by Mumbai astrologer Bejan Daruwalla. Cellular service provider Idea has announced a service wherein Daruwalla and his team will be available live for its subscribers under a new service, GaneshaSpeaks. Subscribers wanting to seek an astrologer's advice on their love life, business or any such can dial 181 to go live with an astrologer and provide details such as date of birth, time or place of birth. The damages for the conversation will work out to Rs 6.99 per minute. Daruwalla, who is a hit with the country's celeb circuit and has even consulted with Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, has floated a private limited company, Ganesha Speaks, for the venture. On board with him are a team of trained astrologers hand-picked for the project, and while Daruwalla himself says that the financial angle in the agreement is not important, Idea officials hinted the package would include the cost of "the considerable back-end work that the astrologer and his team would undertake for the project." "Astrology is well-entrenched in the lives of Indians, and our first-of-a-kind service will bring smiles to millions of faces. The astrologer in person at the other end, as opposed to the mechanised version of pre-recorded predictions, should make a great difference in the customer experience," said Idea CEO Vikram Mehmi.
