Kerala: Water level declines in major reservoirs

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Water level at the three major reservoirs in the State — Idukki , Kallada and Idamalayar — has declined when compared to that recorded during the last week.

According to figures released by the Central Water Commission, the level declined to 2318.54 ft from 2320.18 ft at Idukki, 331.69 ft from335.63 ft at Kallada and 452.99 ft from 456.30 ft at Idamalayar.

However, year-on-year readings revealed that the levels are looking up by 8.91 ft at Idukki, 1.64 ft at Kallada and 25.07 ft at Idamalayar.
