Co-operatives Record deposit mobilisation by co-op banks in Kerala Our Bureau
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Cooperative banks and societies in the State have managed to mobilise Rs 452.04 crore during March, a new record for the month. The target fixed was Rs 400 crore. Primary cooperative societies raised Rs 36.2 crore (target Rs 32.37 crore), urban banks Rs 40.63 crore (Rs 36.2 crore), district banks Rs 82.72 crore (Rs 77.5 crore) and the State Service Cooperative Bank Rs 1.96 crore. District-wise figures with respective targets in brackets are: Thiruvananthapuram Rs 33.6 crore (Rs 20 crore), Kollam Rs 35.44 crore (Rs 26 crore), Pathanamthitta Rs 15.77 crore (Rs 16 crore), Alappuzha Rs 16.93 crore (Rs 16 crore), Kottayam Rs 48.67 crore (Rs 80 crore), Idukki Rs 24.78 crore (Rs 16 crore), Ernakulam Rs 65.48 crore (Rs 74 crore), Thrissur Rs 37.43 crore (Rs 46 crore), Palakkad Rs 45.77 crore (Rs 26 crore), Malappuram Rs 45.77 crore (Rs 26 crore), Kozhikode Rs 34.99 crore (Rs 16 crore), Wayanad Rs 6.73 crore (Rs 6 crore), Kannur Rs 48.85 crore (Rs 30 crore) and Kasaragod Rs 15.7 crore (Rs 8 crore).
