HYDERABAD: With a view to reaching out to accident victims in the `golden hour', Global Hospitals will introduce an innovative emergency medical service with a fleet of 10 two-wheeler ambulances. Each of these vehicles will be fitted with an oxygen cylinder, an air bag, and life-saving drugs. These ambulances would be run by well-trained members of `Accident Rescue Team' (ART), according to Dr K. Ravindranath, Managing Director of Global Hospitals. "The ART members will drive these vehicles covering the vulnerable traffic spots in the twin cities," he said here in a press release. The focal point for the ART service would be the cellphone number 98495 34567. "The calls would be directed to the nearest ART member, who would rush to the spot and attend to the victim," he said. Mr S.R. Sukumara, Director-General of Police, would flag off the service at Necklace Road on Saturday.
