Visakhapatnam , April 2

RASHTRIYA Ispat Nigam Ltd (RINL) here and the Union Steel Ministry have signed an MoU for the financial year, 2004-2005, setting the target for hot metal production at 4.2 million tonnes, according to a press release issued by the plant.

This production level entails capacity utilisation of 124 per cent and a growth of more than 3 per cent over 2003-2004.

The Ministry has agreed to take up with the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) to supply the full requirement of iron ore for the plant from Bailadilla mines for the current year.
