TATA Chemicals Ltd has appointed Mr Homi Khusrokhan as an Executive Director of the company with effect from April 1.

Mr Khusrokhan was until recently the Managing Director of Tata Tea Ltd. According to a senior Tata Chemicals official, Mr Khusrokhan is eligible to be an Executive Director because at Tata Tea executive powers are surrendered at 60 years of age, unlike the norm of 65 years followed by other Tata companies.

At Tata Chemicals, a director can hold executive powers till 65 years of age, he said.
