HCL Comnet bags Rs 12-cr order

Our Bureau

MUMBAI: HCL Comnet has said that it has bagged an order of Rs 12 crore to extend VSAT connectivity to the three national, online commodity exchanges — MCX, NMCE and NCDEX.

These exchanges have placed an initial order for 700 VSATs (very small aperture terminals) in the first phase, a press release said.

HCL Comnet has enabled the three exchanges to implement a VSAT network connecting its sub-stations spread across the country for their data and voice communication needs.

The exchanges have chosen the VSAT medium for connectivity with their members, as they are reliable, give high uptimes and provide a faster connectivity option for the members of the exchanges.

HCL has so far installed 400 VSATs for NCDEX over 112 centres. For MCX, the network will comprise 100 VSATs using Ku band VSATs in general and extended C band BSATs in rain prone locations.

HCL Comnet is a 100 per cent subsidiary of HCL Technologies.
