Health Heritage Hospital helpline Our Bureau
Hyderabad, April 4 Coming to the rescue of the old and the immobile, Heritage Hospital has introduced a helpline that attends to both emotional and physiological grievances. The Heritage Helpline 2339 0000 was launched by Mr R.P. Singh, Commissioner of Police, here on Saturday. "We will lend an ear to their problems," Dr Gangadharan, Managing Director of Heritage Hospital, said. Besides providing answers to questions shot by callers, the helpline would offer referral assistance. "It works for 12 hours a day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on all days excepting Sundays and national holidays," Dr Gangadharan said. Trained volunteers, supervised by professional staff, would man the helpline. Mr R.P. Singh said the department got a large number of calls from old people at `100' service that were not expected to be handled by the police. Mr Easwara Reddy, DIG (Security & Coordination), said those calls could be diverted to the Heritage Helpline for follow up.
