Dearer cattle

Angus cattle resting on an Australian farm in Cooma, New South Wales, about 500 km north-west of Sydney. Cattle prices have begun to firm up on rains. Farmers are reluctant to sell the cattle as they expect their prices to rise. Currently, cattle per head are quoted between A$600 and A$900 (Rs 21,300-32,500) depending on their weight and growth.
