Chennai , April 6

TVS Motor Company has signed on Bollywood actress Preity Zinta as brand ambassador for its Scooty PEP scooterette.

A TVS press release also said volumes for Scooty have crossed one million, with the company claiming that it is the first to achieve the milestone in the scooterette category.

The release further stated that the company's association with Preity Zinta would help take its `First Love' campaign further by positioning Scooty "as a vibrant scooterette packed with style and economy."

A new print and television advertising campaign with the actress in her Scooty PEP will be out next month.

TVS's volumes in the segment, claims the release, had increased 24 per cent volume-wise because of the launch of the four-stroke, 75 CC PEP. "With Preity as the brand ambassador, TVS hopes to accelerate its popularity further," added the release.
