Rubber prices remain flat

THE spot rubber market remained unchanged on Wednesday. The thin activities failed to induce any change in prices as most of the players kept off. The market might be active only after the series of holidays ahead, dealers said.

RSS 4 closed static at Rs 57 a kg. At the Bangkok market RSS 3 closed at Rs 59.16 against Rs 59.36 on Monday.

The Tocom May features for RSS 3 fell to 144.7 yen from 146.3 yen as on Tuesday.

The futures market went down further on Wednesday. The April delivery was quoted at Rs 56 (Rs 56.34), May delivery at Rs 58.25 (Rs 58.45), June delivery at Rs 60.15 (Rs 60.30) and July delivery at Rs 60.66 (Rs 60.92 ) per kg for RSS 4.

The Wednesday spot market rates per kg were as follows: RSS 4 Rs 57 (Rs 57), RSS 5 Rs 56 (Rs 56), Ungraded Rs 55 (Rs 55), ISNR 20 Rs 56.25 (Rs 56.25) and Latex 60% Rs 42.75 (Rs 42.75).
