Our Bureau

Mumbai , April 7

DIGITISATION will be the main focus of BroadcastAsia2004, the annual media event that is held in Singapore.

Companies are expected to exhibit digital cinema technologies. "Here, cinema operators, distributors, production and post-production houses can find the right tools for their transition to digitisation and realise the business benefits and efficiency of digitisation," the release said.

"The event's aim is to provide a forum for companies in the industry to discuss these vital issues and share insights on industry developments," the release said, quoting Mr Stephen Tan, Chief Executive of Singapore Exhibition Services and President of Allworld Exhibitions Alliance. Prominent industry players such as Harris Corporation, Leitch, Microsoft, Panasonic, Pinnacle, Pioneer, TandbergTV, Vinten and Quantel are expected to participate. Microsoft's TV Group is also expected to participate.
