MSS paper oversubscribed by Rs 1,220 cr

THE Rs 5,000-crore auction on Thursday of the 6.18 per cent 2005 paper under the market stabilisation scheme (MSS) was oversubscribed by Rs 1,220 crore.

The cut-off price for this security has been fixed at Rs 102.11 (4.59 per cent YTM).

The Central bank received 169 competitive bids amounting to Rs 6,220 crore and one non-competitive bid worth Rs 2 crore.

Some 133 competitive bids were accepted along with the lone non-competitive bid.
